Who we are

Founded by a Master Plumber who supervises every job

A new water service being flushed clear by hand before it is tied in
Second-generation Master Plumber. First-generation company. The name on the truck belongs to the man who supervises the job.

Goody’s Plumbing is run by its two managing members. Harley Hart, who founded it, is a second-generation Master Plumber. Katie Dalrymple runs operations. We work across San Antonio, Bulverde, New Braunfels and the Hill Country, and every job passes through both of us.

Harley Hart runs the technical side. He holds Texas Master Plumber license RMP #43467, came up through a registered apprenticeship, and supervises every job. He does the estimating himself, so the number on your bid comes from the Master Plumber responsible for the work. The jobs that come to us are often the ones somebody else has already looked at: the lockout, the leak under the slab, the scope the last contractor walked away from. He finds the actual problem, and it gets fixed once. He also carries the gas work: natural gas and propane, from the meter set to the appliance.

Katie Dalrymple runs operations and the client relationship. She is a managing member and the person you deal with from the first call to the final walk-through: contracts, the schedule, and every decision that isn’t about pipe. She answers quickly, and schedules hold because she’s the one holding them. When a general contractor needs a certificate of insurance, a submittal or a prequal packet, it comes back complete. She also runs design in house. Formally trained in design, she takes homeowners through fixture and finish selection with an eye on the proportions and materials of the whole room, and she sources the pieces that are hard to find.

Between the two of us, a job has one owner. The person who priced it is the person who supervises it. The person who helped you choose the fixtures is the person who signed the contract. A general contractor gets one number to call and one sub responsible for the whole scope. A homeowner gets one phone number, and a person answers it.

Nothing on your job gets handed to someone who wasn’t in the room when it was decided. Most of our work comes by invitation from general contractors we’ve already built for. The rest comes from homeowners who called us directly.

The paperwork is in order. We carry general liability and we are a Texas workers’ compensation subscriber. We are registered in SAM.gov, and we have held base access at JBSA-Randolph and JBSA-Lackland. Prequal packets, certificates of insurance and references go out on request. On three of the jobs on our projects page we did the design as well as the install.
