Do you design, or only install?
Both. Goody’s Plumbing does design-build plumbing on commercial work in San Antonio. On two of the jobs on our projects page we did the design as well as the install: Scoop Street Ice Cream and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. If you have an engineer, we price off their drawings. If you don’t, we carry the design ourselves and hand you a permitted, inspected system.
What does turnkey actually cover?
Underground and under-slab rough-in, sleeving, top-out and water distribution, gas rough and pressure test, fixture setting and trim-out, and final inspection. The scope, line by line, with the exclusions, is on the blog: What does turnkey plumbing cover on our bid?
Have you worked on military installations?
Yes. Goody’s Plumbing has worked as the plumbing subcontractor on Joint Base San Antonio at both Randolph and Lackland. At JBSA-Randolph we carried the plumbing on a building renovation for four months: copper distribution, condensate piping and hydrostatic testing, with badged base access and a weekly subcontractor meeting throughout. At JBSA-Lackland we plumbed the Military Working Dog training lab under an Air Force prime contract, domestic water through the dry well. Inside Wilford Hall we had two live hydronic hot water lines frozen in the chase so they could be relocated without draining the building.
We hold an active SAM.gov registration. The CAGE code and UEI go out with the prequal packet, and we have handled base access requests and CUI paperwork before.
What sectors have you actually built in?
Military, public school district, state hospital, church, private school, office, food manufacturing, multifamily, HOA and warehouse. Each one is on the projects page. For NISD and SAISD that means campus renovations and portable buildings on the district’s schedule.
Can you handle site utilities and lift stations?
Yes. Buried water main, flanged valves and trench work, sewer, and sewage ejector basins with vent risers carried to the roof line. The Alamo Tees warehouse expansion on our projects page runs on a lift station we set, and the Park at Presa job replaced a 4″ cut-off and pressure-reducing valve on an occupied multifamily main.
Are you set up for prequalification?
Yes. We hold Texas Master Plumber license RMP #43467, we are insured, and we are a Texas workers’ compensation subscriber. We are registered in SAM.gov for federal work. Prequal packets, certificates of insurance, CAGE and UEI, and references go out on request. Email estimating and we’ll turn them around.
What if the work is residential?
We do that too, and it has its own page. High-end residential covers additions, master suites, remodels, gas and water treatment.
